The artwork uses image and sound recordings of the capercaillie in its natural habitat. The Western Capercaillie is a precious animal species and crucial indicator of healthy mountain forests. In Slovakia, the capercaillie population has declined by more than half over two decades. The biggest problem is the loss of its habitat due to logging. Slovakia has consistently failed in protecting the Western Capercaillie. Even after the ruling by the European Court of Justice, key measures such as the zoning of national parks and halting logging in its habitats have not been implemented.
